WATER POLO

About Zoe

I am 16 and have lived in the Inner West my whole life. I started playing Water Polo when I was 11 for the UTS Balmain Water Polo Club (BWPC) and I go to BSM whenever I need physio treatment.

Why become a BSM Ambassador?

I plan to play Water Polo (3 to 4 games per week) for my school (Meriden School) and club

(BWPC AWL, Metro grade and under 18 competitions) including multiple swims, gym and Water Polo specific sessions per week. This schedule is demanding and by being a part of BSM Junior Athlete Ambassador Program I hope to learn and understand the benefits of integrating an active treatment plan so that I can continue my training and develop to be the best athlete I possibly can. Also, for my HSC I am studying PDHPE, I’m sure regularly spending time with a physio will give me the opportunity to ask lots of questions.

Athletic Achievements

I am a current member of BWPC Australian Water Polo League (AWL) squad and have recently come back from the Water Polo Australia ‘Summer Slam’ (renamed State Nationals due to COVID and WA not able to attend) in the NSW Born 2005 team. The team played in a Born 2004 (under 18) competition exceeding expectations by making the grand final, unfortunately losing 11-8 to the top age QLD team. Subsequently, I was selected in the Born 2004 Australian squad participated in a training camp prior to competing in the Born 2002 (under 20) competition.
