GYMNASTICS

About Grace

I am a current member of the Australian Gymnastics Team and studying full time at WSU. I have been doing gymnastics for 15 years and more specifically, aerobic gymnastics for 6 years. I am 21 years old and studying to become a midwife. Previous to this I completed 2 years of an Exercise Physiology degree, I work as a gymnastics coach for several clubs and I am the Head aerobic gymnastics coach at PCYC Glebe / Leichhardt. I have been involved in elite sport for many years and hope to continue as a coach when my career as an athlete comes to an end. It has always been a goal of mine to inspire the younger generation in this sport and I hope to do so for many more years to come. Qualifying for the World Championships is my number 1 goal as an athlete which may be possible this year. Being able to represent my country is always an amazing experience but being able to do so for a sport like gymnastics makes it even more amazing.

Why become a BSM Ambassador?

I would love to be considered for this program as I have been a patient of BSM for many years. I have put my trust in many of the practitioners there and recently working with Physio Andy Farley has been amazing. I feel as though I could help provide a lot of my team mates and fellow athletes with the same incredible treatment and help I receive. As an elite gymnast, I am regularly requiring treatment for new and ongoing injuries. I have had 2 ankle reconstructions that Dr Scott Burne has helped me through and the team of physios have been nothing sort of a godsend. I would love to be able to give a bit back to BSM as you have all helped me so much! Being able to come in regularly to see Andy will allow me to make sure I am on top of my game and able to perform and compete at my absolute best. Due to being a coach and a high level gymnast I will be able to reach a lot of people and be able to recommend BSM to them should they be in need of any of the services you provide.
